Not only is it required by law, but the most obvious reason is the moral reason. You should create accessible spaces to ensure that everyone has equal access to all areas and nobody gets singled out when needing to use basic facilities or services. Failing to provide adequate access to all individuals, despite their ability, is discrimination.
I dream of a day where we will be able to go into a public building and I do not have to tell my husband or mother they will not be able to use the restroom, or come in at all.

The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else
